About Me

I knew I wanted to be a therapist when I went through my own process of healing and self discovery. Working with generous, heart-centered practitioners from many different backgrounds showed me what’s possible when we address not only the mind, but the body and spirit as well. I came to better understand my past, learned to respond to life with more ease and acceptance, and while I think of healing and growth as a lifelong process with no real endpoint, over time I felt more like myself.

Growing up as a sensitive person with a need to do things on my own terms, I often felt out of place. As I got older, I began a path of exploration, moving cities, changing careers, and spending years expanding my comfort zone by facing fears and seeking out unfamiliar situations.

Before becoming a therapist I worked in education and integrative health care. I developed a focus on compassionate care for the human experience and an awareness of the role of larger systems in our individual lives. These principles inform my work today, and my perspective as a therapist is rooted in liberation psychology and trauma informed care.

I completed my masters degree in Integral Counseling Psychology at the California Institute of Integral Studies, and trained as an associate therapist at the Marina Counseling Center in San Francisco. I am also trained in EFT Tapping and am a Reiki practitioner.
